Pouring the foundation beam

After the first 3 courses of foundation blockwork had dried it was time to prepare for pouring of the foundation ring beam.

First the formwork was installed and then the prepared rebar was placed inside. The concrete pump then poured the concrete. Whilst the concrete was being poured, the builder carried out vibration to remove air bubbles. After the concrete had been poured, the builder levelled the concrete and using a trowel created a smooth finish.
